About Us

About us

We are Classic Carers; a personalised domiciliary care service operating across Devon to ensure all families are supported in the best way possible so they can live their lives to the fullest.

Classic Carers is a part of Classic Care Homes (CCH), which was founded back in 2005 with a vision to redefine elderly care. During this time, we are proud to have emerged as one of the most trusted partners for families seeking the highest standards of care for their loved ones across Devon.

Our journey began with a simple yet profound mission - to provide quality care that celebrates the individuality of each resident and client. We hold the belief that care should not only meet physical needs but also nourish emotional well-being and social connections. That’s why at the heart of our successful business is a dedicated and compassionate team. Each member, from our management to our caregivers, embodies a deep-seated commitment to enhancing the lives of those we care for. Their unwavering dedication has been instrumental in earning us exceptional Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings across our services, a testament to our consistent delivery of high-quality care.

Nigel Herring

Registered Manager

I’ve been working in care for over 30 years and have a deep-rooted passion for providing care and support that meets an individual’s needs in a person-centred way, respecting their choices, dignity, culture, beliefs, and individuality. I began my career as a Care Assistant in a nursing home before my managerial experience began in care homes, and over the last twelve years, I’ve successfully overseen Home Care (Domiciliary) services, which was the first Home Care service I managed and assisted to start up. I’m so proud to have achieved my initial goal of becoming a Registered Manager and, more recently, attaining the position of Regional Manager within the past six months for Classic Carers. Outside of my work life, I cherish spending time with my family and friends, walking the dog in the countryside, by the sea, or on the moors, as well as reading and cooking.
